There is not much difference between a writer and a visual artist, except for the fact that writer’s decorate their canvases with prose, not paint. Welcome to my website. Here I showcase my passion. You are likely to find a little bit of everything, although you are likely to discover that my favorite audience involves the eyes of our littlest humans. I hope you find enjoyment in my work. Jessica Townsend-Oatneal is a native of the Washington D.C metro area, residing in Maryland.
She is currently a fourth grade teacher who teaches for DCPS (DC Public Schools). She was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and raised in Hyattsville, Maryland. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood, Special and Elementary Education from Seton Hall University, and her Master of Arts degree in Special Education: Learning Disabilities from American University. She later received a Teaching Writing Certificate from Johns Hopkins University.
She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. When she isn’t writing, she is making memories with her husband and daughter.
